President's Message
Dear Citizens, Businesses and Community Members,
Welcome to the Bennett Firefighters IAFF Local 5090 Official Webpage. This website was developed not only to provide information but to keep an open line of communication between general members & the public that we serve.
As President of the Bennett Firefighters Local 5090 and on behalf of our entire membership, I would like to thank you for your ongoing support of our cause. Our mission is to serve and protect the communities of Bennett, Watkins, and their surrounding areas, including looking out for the entire I-70 corridor through continued partnership with the I-70 corridor fire departments.
The Bennett Firefighters Local 5090 consists of firefighters and paramedics who have taken an oath to “strive to preserve life and property” for our citizens and to represent the finest element of our community. The members of Bennett Firefighters are highly skilled and well trained, with continuing education and training being a part of our everyday activities. You can rest assured that we are working diligently every day to build and protect a safe and prosperous environment for our community.
I have a strong focus on building Local 5090 into a body that is influential and effective in both the local community and the local governments regarding public safety issues. Our number one goal is the safety of our community members and visitors to the district. We partner with our department, Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue, in the common goal of “citizens-first” Together, we will work hard to secure a future of prosperity for our citizens and our firefighters.
We are proud of the local, regional, state, and national charities that benefit from our support and involvement. These organizations fall within our vision of a better world for all. If you would like to join us in our charitable and community work, we encourage you or your business to reach out through our “contact us” page.
